VHS Honors Academic Excellence with Banquet

Valparaiso High School honors its senior students who have achieved the award of academic excellence by maintaining a GPA of 4.0 and higher throughout their high school career. The students, accompanied by an influential teacher of their choice, and their families celebrated this outstanding achievement by attending a banquet at Strongbow Inn hosted by the Valparaiso High School World Language Department. Valparaiso High School Principal Reid Amones begins the ceremony with an inspiring statement:

“When I look out into this crowd I see many promising faces,” he said. “I see many young people that have achieved many great things. I see future doctors and lawyers, I see future engineers, I see successful business men and women, and I see future teachers. But most of all I see future leaders. We are here tonight to reward many of our high school seniors at VHS for outstanding academic accomplishments.”

Amones ends the ceremony with an overall thank you:

“I thank all of you for your hard work and all that you have accomplished. Thanks to the parents, guardians, family members, friends, school board members, administrators and everyone that could join us here tonight, your partnership has been invaluable.”
