The Crusaders have had at least three bowlers honored each year of the program’s existence.

Junior Kendra Tryniski (Fulton, N.Y./Fulton) earned All-Academic recognition for the third time in as many years. Sophomore Becky Lohse (Chesterton, Ind./Chesterton) picked up the honor, as did a quartet of Crusader freshmen – Payton Bertermann (Grayslake, Ill./North), Sam Perez (Aurora, Ill./Oswego East), Jess Soskich (Arlington Heights, Ill./Buffalo Grove) and Mirica Yancey (Aurora, Ill./Waubonsie Valley). Bowlers must maintain at least a 3.4 cumulative GPA for the academic year to earn the All-Academic award.

As a team, the Crusaders posted a 3.29 cumulative GPA to earn the NTCA team academic award for a third straight year. Valpo was one of 39 programs to be honored for the team’s work in the classroom by the NTCA.
