The B-20 Ready 2014 Chevy Cruze Diesel

2014-chevrolet-cruze-diesel-chicagoDid you ever think you’d see the day that a biodiesel company would approve of an automaker? We weren’t quite sure we’d see the day either. But that day has come and the staff at Arnell Chevrolet could not be more excited to share the news with you.

The National Biodiesel Board is praising General Motors for making the 2014 Chevy Cruze Diesel B20-ready. What is B20-ready? It is a 20 percent biodiesel mix that would enable the 2014 Cruze to go as far as 700 miles on one tank of fuel. Yes, you read that correctly – 700 miles.

This makes GM the first US automaker to have made one of its light-duty models about to run on diesel. Critics and consumers alike have been waiting for the return of diesel powertrain GM cars. The National Biodiesel Board has labeled GM “proactive and progressive” for creating the 2014 Chevy Cruze Diesel.

Biodiesel Magazine went one step further and told its reader to “tell GM thanks.” The 2014 Cruze Diesel is set to get an EPA estimated 46 miles per gallon highway. This would be the best of “any non-hybrid passenger car in America” according to GM.

We can’t wait until we get this new car on the Arnell Chevy lot. It’s sure to go fast, so call our sales department to stay up-to-date on the latest information.
