Workshop to Help Boost Fundraising for Northwest Indiana Organizations

Robert Osborne to Discuss the Power of Relationship Building during iyi-logoIYI Training

With the economy’s slow recovery, nonprofit organizations depend on donors more than ever to help secure funds, which is why an Indiana Youth Institute (IYI) workshop in northwest Indiana will focus on building relationships to enhance fundraising for youth-serving nonprofits.

Fundraisers, executive directors, grant managers and board members of youth-serving nonprofits are encouraged to register and attend the workshop “Donor Stewardship: Unleashing the Power of Your Relationship Building.”

The workshop will be presented on Aug. 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. local time at the Purdue Research Park of Northwest Indiana, 9800 Connecticut Dr., Crown Point, 46307.

This workshop will help enhance an organization’s fundraising by teaching ways to demonstrate the impact of a donor’s gift. Successful stewardship strategies lead to: increased giving, donor retention and viral marketing. The sessions will be lead by Robert Osborne, Vice President of the Osborne Group. Osborne has 16 years of experience in fundraising and nonprofit management. His expertise includes campaign planning, major gifts, annual giving, stewardship, marketing and board training.

Cost of the training is $40, and registration is available online at www.iyi.org/training_registration. Continuing Education Credit (CFRE) for the workshop is available for free. On-site registration for the training begins at 8:30 a.m. local time.

This workshop also will be presented in Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, South Bend, Evansville and New Albany. For more information about the workshops in those cities, go to www.iyi.org.

The training is supported by the Nicholas H. Noyes Jr. Memorial Foundation.

The Indiana Youth Institute promotes the healthy development of Indiana children and youth by serving the people, institutions and communities that impact their well-being.
