For AMA Design and Print’s Kelley Schott, It’s The Customers That Keep Him Going

AMA-1-KelleyWe all need something to keep us going at work. For some, it’s the feeling of accomplishment after finishing a project. For others, it’s seeing the smile on a client’s face when a job is done the right way. And for others, it’s the thrill of the challenge that comes from working in an ever-changing environment.

But if you’re lucky enough to be in AMA Design & Print's Kelley Schott’s shoes, you know you’re in the right place when you get to experience the feeling of all three in a single day.

“I love this job because it always keeps me on my toes,” Schott says. “Every day there is something new and I enjoy that.”

But to stay at a company for as long as Schott has, fourteen years, there’s got to be more to it than the thrill of the challenge. And for Schott, there is: it’s the people at the company and the clients he works with that keeps him happy.

“I love taking the job from beginning to end for the customer,” Schott says. “We do things for them that you would not get at other printing companies, or ordering your prints online.”

Those things, Schott says, are the intangibles that separate good customer service from great; putting the customer’s satisfaction absolutely first in every situation.

“If something doesn’t seem right, we fix it,” adds Schott. “We will stop a job right then and there and we will make it right. That may cost us a little more up front but it’s worth it in the end.”

And that’s what ultimately keeps Schott going at work. He loves the challenge, the people, and especially the feeling of accomplishment after finishing a project. But in Schott’s mind and in the minds of the good people at AMA, the job isn’t accomplished when it’s finished; it’s accomplished when the customer leaves with a smile on their face and complete satisfaction.
