Growing Smiles Pediatric Dentistry Gives Kids Something to Smile About

Dr. Carisse Corns and her staff at Growing Smiles Pediatric Dentistry have tailored their office to the needs and comforts of children.

Upon entering the office, parents are greeted with a promise. “We at Growing Smiles Pediatric Dentistry recognize that your child is no ordinary child. We set out to provide extraordinary care with integrity, honesty and compassion,” says the sign on the wall in the entrance way.

The waiting room is just the beginning for Dr. Corns’ kids. Because the entire office is dedicated to just kids, the patients can freely play and enjoy themselves without needing to be hushed or scolded by parents.

There are books, toys, and even a video game station along the wall where kids can prop themselves up on of the the two plush stools and play on one of two video games set up on two televisions. Leaving room for other children to freely gather around the two seats to enjoy the show and cheer them along.

There is no need for kids to “Shhh! Come here and sit down!” This is not a place where children must be entertained as to not be a bother to anyone. This is a place for the children.

With bright lights, high ceilings and open rooms, little patients can feel safe and calm during their cleanings and procedures. Dr. Carisse Corns and her staff have created a warm and welcoming environment for children with playful colors and decorations.

Parents are more than welcome to come back to comfort and keep their child company. The regular cleaning and checkup area of the office is done in an open concept room with three stations facing a wall of floor to ceiling windows. The windows supply a comforting place for children to look out and also provides some natural lighting to brighten and warm up the room.

The brushing station provides a sink for all sizes and remains just steps away from the yellow, green and blue colored check-up chairs. For other procedures like cavity work, the office provides a private room not far off from the main room with the same high ceilings and calming color palette to cater to the children. The room has two doors on either side of the patient’s chair with glass windows to continue the open concept theme throughout the office.

Dr. Corns and her staff at Growing Smiles are dedicated to educating kids of proper cleaning and care. With so many children and adults who fear seeing a dentist, Growing Smiles wants to address these fears while they are still young and impressionable. A trip to the dentist can be an easy and calming one, especially at Growing Smiles Pediatric Dentistry.
