So we asked, Terry Peek II, the owner of a local pest control company to share what works for his customers and how bugs affect us in Northwest Indiana.
Why so many bugs?
Temperature changes and moisture off of Lake Michigan impact insect activity in Northwest Indiana. Often we notice box elders, ants and asian lady beetles right off the bat. As the season goes on the wasps begin to show up. Now add the hassle of an occasional cockroach infestation, fluffy your favorite pet coming home with fleas and spiders weaving webs around your outdoor lights and it seems like the entire season is filled with bugs!
