The Lakes of Valparaiso Hosts Open House to Give Visitors a Taste of Resort Lifestyle

The Lakes of Valparaiso aims to give residents a more comfortable and luxurious lifestyle. Today, they held their first Open House to give visitors a chance to see all that they provide.

“People are curious as to what we have to offer and how we can help them. They can [also] set an appointment for a private tour,” explained Angela Fielder, Vice President of Real Estate Operations for Weiss Entities. “We want to just to make the community aware that we’re here if they don’t know that we’re here.”

Taking an inside look into the variety of offerings from The Lakes of Valparaiso, there are 35 different floor plans, ranging from 750 to 1,570 square feet. The different options are there to fit the preferences of virtually interested. Granite counters, stainless steel appliances, full size washers and dryers and more are featured in each and every apartment.

The outside is just as lavish as the inside with man-made lakes, common areas and paved roads. Residents are able to enjoy the beautiful view from outside their windows. The Lakes of Valparaiso also offers a wide variety of amenities that fit anyone’s preferences. Whether you want to make copies or just go on a walk, amenities such as a business center, outdoor living area, a 24/7 fit club and much more are available to all residents.

“We have outdoor movies, fire pits, an outdoor tv, barbeque grills, a wet ledge pool, basketball courts, a Bark Park and sand volleyball courts. We have a car-care center, pet-care center [and] we have a concierge for when you want your dry cleaning done, your house cleaned or your pet walked. We can arrange all of that for you. So it’s not typical for other apartment communities to have all those amenities,” Fielder said.

The clubhouse is also the primary entertainment spot for residents.

“Most apartment communities don’t have a clubhouse like this. We have all sorts of resident events that we hold here,” Fielder said. “Tomorrow we’re going to have a Super Bowl Party, so we’ll have beer, wings and snacks for them and we’ll have the game on. On February 9th, it’s National Pizza Day. We’ll have free pizza and drinks down here at the clubhouse. We have a photobooth and a candy bar set up for Valentine’s Day. The next event is a breakfast waffle bar, so from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m, there will be fresh homemade waffles with toppings and they can come in and enjoy. There's just a ton of things to do and events residents can attend here.”

The goal for The Lakes of Valparaiso is to give residents a break from whatever hardships they face outside of their home life. The initial responses from visitors helps reinforce their vision of creating a resort feel at the comfort of their home.

“Usually when visitors come in, they say 'Oh wow!' and 'This is like a resort, it’s like I’m on vacation,' so that’s really what we like to hear. People want to live a more relaxing lifestyle because their work life is so hectic that when they come home they want it to be comfortable. We try to provide that,” Fielder said.
