Meet Linda Fillippo: CENTURY 21 Alliance Group Top Closing Agent in 2013

Linda-FillippoOne of the busiest ladies in real estate, Linda Fillippo closed the most deals in 2013 at CENTURY 21 Alliance Group, thanks in part to her dedication to quality customer service and her passion for all things real estate.

Linda's love affair with real estate began long before she became an agent. She attended open houses & explored new developments for fun because she enjoyed looking at houses and would share information about homes for sale with friends. “Whenever I had a friend or met someone who expressed an interest in buying a home, I knew all about the homes for sale. Remember, this was before we had the internet,” Linda laughed. ”Finally, someone told me I should be selling homes for a living!” Linda took that advice and got her real estate license 21 years ago.

In 2001, Linda decided to join CENTURY 21 Alliance Group. “I am so glad I made the decision to join Jeanne Sommer when she established Century 21 Alliance Group,” Linda said. “She and Nick have helped me to become a better agent and a better person. I work with a competent and helpful office staff and a supportive group of agents and friends.”

Linda is a full-time real estate agent and an award-winning multi-million dollar producer. She is consistently ranked among the top agents in Northwest Indiana, in part because she puts her clients’ needs first and is committed to client satisfaction. She is a Relocation Specialist and has earned the Graduate Realtor Institute Designation and the Accredited Buyer Representative Designation. Linda has earned the CENTURY 21 Ruby Award and CENTURY 21 Emerald Award and has won numerous Quality Service Awards from CENTURY 21 for her commitment to customer service.

Century21AllianceGroupAgents DayofCaring2013As an agent, Linda loves meeting new people and reconnecting with past clients and friends. She likes that every day is unpredictable and sometimes challenging. Linda explained, “The industry is constantly changing and I am always learning something new. I enjoy growing as a person. The job and the people I meet allow me to do that, and it’s very rewarding. I must admit though, that my favorite part of the job is seeing the excitement on a buyer or seller’s face when we have found the right house for them or the right buyer for their home.”

When she's not busy showing, staging and selling houses, Linda volunteers her time to make a difference in the community. Linda has volunteered for walks for the homeless and events that raise funds for Caring Place, Opportunity Enterprises, Visiting Nurses Association, Hilltop Neighborhood, St. Agnes Adult Day Service Center, Sojourner House and several others that help people with various needs and disabilities. She also volunteers for the Valparaiso Parks Department and Lakeshore PAWS, which finds permanent and temporary homes for animals.

As a member of St. Teresa of Avila Church, Linda participates in the fundraising events the church hosts for the students of Valparaiso University, the Valparaiso community, and also those in need throughout the world. Linda said, “For those who do not know, St. T’s Café Manna provides a free dinner to approximately 240 members of the community every Thursday evening! There are so many people who need various types of assistance. I like volunteering because it gives back so much more than it asks for. I truly believe if each of us gives a little we all get a lot!”

Linda was born and raised in Chicago and lived there with her husband, Dennis, before Dennis’ employer relocated him to Pennsylvania for two years and then to Valparaiso where they have lived for nearly 30 years. “We have always been very pleased with our decision to move to Northwest Indiana, and our love for this area continues to grow,” Linda expressed, ”We feel there is something here for everyone!”

Linda and her husband, Dennis, have been married for 40 years and their son, Christian, and his wife, Marcy, also live in Valparaiso. Linda and Dennis' older son, Jonathan, sadly was killed 10 years ago when struck by a vehicle on I-65 while attempting to assist car accident victims.

In her spare time Linda enjoys being creative, both inside and outside of her home. She enjoys decorating and gardening, which give her a sense of both pleasure and accomplishment. She also likes to read, travel, and more than anything, spend time with her family and friends.
