Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County Welcomes New Members and Elects Officers

bgcpc-new-boardmembers-2014Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County welcomed two new members to their Board of Directors at their June 16, 2014 meeting. Debbie Anselm, general manager and director of marketing for The Times Media Company, has been a long-time advocate of Boys & Girls Clubs. She also serves on the boards of Porter-Starke Services Foundation, Greater Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce, Tri Kappa, Pink Ribbon, Valparaiso Rotary, Valplayso, and Empower Porter County. Brian Tegt is Vice President of Awards Network, an employee recognition and incentive provider in La Porte, IN. He has been with the company for thirteen years. His previous experience includes working at Accenture (Andersen Consulting) in the client financial management group. Brian is a graduate of Butler University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Management.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County’s Board of Directors also elected new officers to serve a two-year term and appointed new committee chairs. Larry Moore of Computer Services, Inc. was elected as Board chair, Timothy D. Rice of Lakeside Wealth Management Group as Vice-Chair, and Todd Elliott as Secretary/Treasurer. Additionally, Todd Elliott was appointed as the organization’s chair of the Resource Development Committee, Analisa Warring of Regional Federal Credit Union as chair of the Finance Committee, Dave Mika of BMO Harris as chair of the Board Governance Committee, and Michael Simpson of M.E. Simpson Company, Inc. as chair of the Audit Committee.

Newly elected Board Chair, Larry Moore expressed excitement welcoming the new members to the Board and thanked the newly committed board chairs for their volunteer time and contributions they will make to the organization.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County was founded in 1971 in Valparaiso, IN. Currently Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County operates four Club units in Valparaiso, Portage, South Haven, and Chesterton; manages a Club operation in Culver, IN; and operates Kidstop sites nine school locations.
