PATH Leader Recognized as Influential Woman

Donna-GolobYouth development leader Donna L. Golob has the opportunity to impact the lives of region teens every day.

As executive director of A Positive Approach to Teen Health, she works with her team to encourage teens to make healthy choices through life-skills, relationship and character-building education.

Golob was recently named this year’s up and coming non-profit Influential Woman as part of the Influential Women of Northwest Indiana awards. They highlight the region’s influential female professionals in a range of industries and community organizations.

“It was an honor to be recognized for the work that I am a part of in Northwest Indiana. This award is a reflection of three things: the awesome faithfulness of God, the hard work of the team that serves with me and the support and encouragement of my husband who challenges me to step out of my comfort zone and to follow my passions,” she said.

“I am reminded again of one of my favorite quotes by Helen Keller: ‘Alone we can do so little, but together we can do so much.’"

PATH engages teens through informative and interactive classroom sessions designed to empower through education. Medically accurate and relative facts on relationships, addictions, social interactions and the benefits of a positive school experience are tailored to both rural and urban teens through two distinct programs. The PATH team also reaches out to teens through its after-school mentoring program.
