Vessely Named 1st Source Regional President

Vessely MattJim Seitz, 1st Source President, announces that Matthew D. Vessely is the Bank’s new Regional President in Porter and LaPorte Counties. Vessely replaces Bob Ax who retired June 30. In his new role as market manager, Vessely will oversee business banking and the delivery of the bank’s products and services in seventeen banking centers.

“With Matt’s ties to the community and his experience in banking he is a great fit to lead 1st Source in Porter and LaPorte Counties,” said Seitz. “We are glad to have him on board to continue the strong legacy we have established in the area.”

A North Judson native, Vessely returns to the area with more than 25 years of diverse banking and management experience; including Senior Vice President level roles in Business Banking, Commercial Banking and Product Management. Early in his career, Vessely was a Commercial Banker and Regional Manager at First National Bank, Valparaiso, now a part of 1st Source.

Vessely received an M.B.A. with a Finance Concentration from Indiana University and a B.A. in Economics from Wabash College. He is also a graduate of the Indiana Bankers Association Commercial Lending School and Agricultural Banking School.
