Cindy Stewart is a ray of sunshine in the already warm and welcoming confines that is Oak Partners, Inc. Stewart is the Client Relations Manager on the Capital Management Team.
Stewart has been with Oak Partners for about four years. Among her various responsibilities, Stewart’s main objective is to stay in contact with her clients – getting to know them and their goals, and seeing that their needs and wants are met.
Before Stewart came under the employ of Oak Partners, she was a client.
Stewart said. “My friends referred Oak to me as they were happy with everything they do here, so I knew I should check them out.”
Stewart worked in product development and management for an engineering firm for 28 years, and Fred Ruiz, Founder and Partner at Oak Partners, worked closely with Stewart as she was his client at Oak Partners. He knew that with her background in management and business and engaging personality, she would be a perfect addition to the Oak Partners family.
“That really reinforces that we do know our clients here,” Stewart said. “Fred knew me and knew I would fit in here… And being a client allows me to draw from my experiences on both sides so I can serve my clients better.”
Stewart has a large amount of clients to take care of. She is able to manage with the help of her fantastic team and the many tools that Oak Partners has at her disposal.
“The tools that we have in place make it really easy for us to stay organized and keep in contact with our clients,” Stewart said. “Working here is wonderful. In my other job I was always traveling and it kept me from my family. I’m a wife and mom and to me, that comes first. Oak Partners is very family-centered, and I like that.”
Stewart is close with her clients and their families almost become like family to her.
“I have experienced many of the same things my clients experience,” Stewart said. “So I can relate to them. I just enjoy my time with them.”
You can find Stewart out in the community, representing Oak Partners. She’s a member of the Crossroads Chamber of Commerce and is on the Ambassador Committee and the Education Committee and she is the co-chair for the Crown Point/Merrillville Reality Store. She coached league volleyball when her daughter was younger, and she volunteered at the local parks department.
Her daughter is currently a student at St. Ambrose University and will start her Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program at IUPUI this fall.
Outside of work Stewart loves to spend time with her husband of 32 years and their daughter. They love going to car shows and spoiling their dog.
“I attribute a lot of my happy attitude to my husband,” Stewart said. “He supports me in everything I do. My parents raised me to do my absolute best at any position or job I held. And that’s what I do here. I do my best every day.”
