Farah Najamuddin, MD, a family medicine specialist, has the joined the Franciscan Hammond Clinic medical staff.
She attended Khyber Medical College in Pakistan and completed her residency at Methodist Hospitals Northlake in Gary.
Dr. Najamuddin is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice.
Her clinical interests include:
- Treating the patient, not just the symptoms.
- Managing diabetes through education, diet and exercise counseling, along with treatment.
- Treating hypertension and thyroid disease.
- Offering preventive medicine for adults, adolescents and children.
