Porter-Regional-Hospital-Welcomes-New-COOPorter Health Care System is pleased to welcome a new chief operating officer, Lauren Hull, MHSA, to the organization. She began her position on March 26.

Hull comes to Porter from Henrico Doctors’ Hospital in Richmond, VA, where she most recently served as Associate COO and Vice President of Surgical Services, having been promoted from Associate Administrator. She holds a Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in chemistry from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio, and a Master of Health Services Administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati. She is certified in Lean for Healthcare and Non-Manufacturing through the University of Texas at Austin, and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Hull is no stranger to the region. She began her career in January 2007 as an administrative resident at the Health Care Service Corporation before moving on to University of Chicago Medicine. There, Hull served as senior operations manager in neurosurgery, manager of perioperative services, and later section administrator of neurosurgery and orthopedic surgery, and director of operations for perioperative services. Before heading to Richmond, she also worked as director of operating room performance improvement at the HCA Central West Texas Division in Austin.

“I am thrilled to be coming home to the Midwest! Growing up in Ohio and spending the first eight years of my career in Chicago, Northwest Indiana is a great place for me to be personally and professionally. I was very impressed with the team I met when I came to Porter for my interview. The sense of pride everyone has in the organization is extremely evident and I am excited to be a part of that,” Hull said.

In her spare time, Hull enjoys sporting events, live music, and spending time with family and friends. Hull joins the Porter Health Care System senior leadership team about a month after Porter welcomed Sean Dardeau as the new Market CEO for the network in February.
