The Valpo Schools Foundation is pleased to announce that Mark Hoffman has joined the Valpo Schools Foundation as Chief Executive Officer. Mark will be working with the foundation to develop a marketing and fundraising campaign. Julie Dalton has also joined the Valpo Schools Foundation as Chief Operating Officer. Julie, who previously served as a Board Member of the Foundation, will be managing the administrative activities of the foundation.
Please come welcome them and support the foundation at the Annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser on Saturday, October 19th from 6:00 to 9:30 pm at the Old Town Banquet Center, 711 Calumet Avenue in Valparaiso. The Valpo School Foundation raises money to provide grants for teachers who want to enrich the classroom experience with special projects, state of the art technology equipment, or interaction between students from other classrooms. The foundation also raises money to provide scholarships for Valparaiso High School students who hope to pursue post high-school education. Since the inception of the foundation in 2007, over $200,000 has been awarded in scholarships and over $56,000 has been awarded in classroom grants.
