Incoming freshmen or returning non-traditional students encouraged to attend event iunlogo

Indiana University Northwest will host a new student orientation session for incoming students on Friday, Dec. 10 starting at 8:45 a.m. in the lobby of Hawthorn Hall.

Incoming freshmen or returning non-traditional students will get a head start on the school year by attending this event, which includes an academic/services/activities fair, academic advising, and a formal orientation program. Students may also register for classes at the orientation and are advised to do so, to secure seats in the classes they want.

Students will also have the opportunity to meet new peers, get a few helpful hints on adjusting to college life, hear about faculty expectations, and learn how students can make the most out of their college experience. A student ID picture will also be taken, and, to help with time management skills, attendees will receive an IU Northwest student planner.

For more information about the orientation program, or to reserve a spot, contact the IU Northwest Office of Admissions at (888) 968-7486, extension 4348. Reservations to the orientation session can also be made online at https://www.iun.edu/~admit/orientation/orientationform-spring.shtml.

Hawthorn Hall is located on campus along Broadway between 33rd and 35th Avenues. Parking is free in the main campus parking lot located at the intersection of 33rd Avenue and Broadway.
