Great Hoosiers in History

With the likes of James Dean, Michael Jackson, Orville Redenbacher and David Letterman, Cooks Corners Elementary School hosted a "Living History Museum". The students of Jill Stefanski's fourth grade class dressed up as historical Hoosiers they had researched, standing every time someone pushed the Staples "Easy" button on their desk and gave an account of their respective Hoosier.

Students, parents and teachers all joined in on the fun, some walking, some running from table to table to get the facts on their favorite famous Hoosiers. It was clear who the favorites were, with Michael Jackson's table being swarmed by kids and adults alike, as a young student skillfully pulled off dance moves and mannerisms, as well as signing multiple autographs.

It was a great cause to combine history with entertainment to get the kids involved in something beyond themselves, as well as see the prospect of life as a Hoosier and who they can aspire to become.
