This has been a Staff Appreciation Week to remember! When I asked for parents to help with Staff Appreciation Week, I was overwhelmed with responses. I really was not surprised because I know how much our staff is loved and appreciated and I also know that the Saint Paul Catholic School families are the best.
The breakfast spread on Monday morning was amazing. Thank you to all of the moms who got up early so our staff could feast on coffeecake, muffins, fruit, bagels, and cinnamon rolls. A special thanks to Maria Herren and Natalie Mroz who spent the entire day giving manicures to our staff.
Mrs. Bengert directed the students in a presentation for all the staff members on Tuesday morning. It was an amazing sight to watch our staff members walk through rows of kindergartners waving pompoms while the entire student body cheered at the top of their lungs! Thanks to Mrs. Bengert and her helpers, Domenica, Natalie, and Nicolette Hartman, Robyn Boland, Isabelle Smaroff, and Dee Gruszka.
We were blessed with a beautiful day on Tuesday which helped make the car wash so much fun! A huge thank you to our middle school students who spent the afternoon enthusiatically washing the staff members cars. An even bigger thank you to all the moms who manned the hoses and supervised the students. An extra special thanks to Mrs. Knoll who made everything run smoothly.
Wednesday lunch was a group effort. Thanks to all the moms who brought in pasta, salad, bread, and a chocolate fountain. It was an absolute feast! Thanks also go out to the moms who watched the classrooms so the entire staff could enjoy a long lunch together. Thanks, students for behaving so well while your teachers were away!
Thursday was another great day. Tami Nicksic and her physical therapy student gave massages to our staff members while Lynne Stark and Karen Behrend brought in their latte machines to the staff members could enjoy a complete spa experience.
There was a Staff Appreciation Mass. All the staff members were given a gift made by our very creative moms, Chris Mileusnich, Emmanuelle Fortney, Michele Lesher, and Dee Gruszka. Thank you to all of them for their hard work and thanks to Vicki Schmidt for allowing the students to personalize these surprise gifts during art class. More thank yous go out to all the moms who planted the flowers on Thursday so the altar could be decorated for the Mass. A special thank you to Delia Poole who bought the flowers and the pots.
It was a pleasure to work with all of you to honor our great Saint Paul Staff.
