Chesterton Middle School in conjunction with the Westchester Township History Museum will showcase a display entitled, "Becoming Duneland Schools," in the school's main lobby through the end of this school year. The museum will present a different showcase at CMS for each semester featuring new topics, objects, and photos.
This semester's display features school photographs prior to Duneland Schools incorporation in 1968, information leading up to the election to incorporate, a Letterman's jacket, a CHS stadium cushion, a 1909 grade book and a CHS 1966 record album released by the choir.
The public is invited to view the display during school hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Groups visits should call the school at 983-3776, ext 7001 to schedule a time. Chesterton Middle School is located at 651 W. Morgan Avenue in Chesterton.
