CMS Students Celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Week

Random-Acts-of-KindnessTOPChesterton Middle School celebrated their second annual Random Acts of Kindness Week this past week. The Chesterton Middle School seventh grade C team came up with the idea to participate in a Random Acts of Kindness activity to provide middle school students with an opportunity to work together to create a project that would promote unity and lead to a more compassionate and tolerant attitude towards each other.

During the week students could choose to participate in a door-decorating contest. Students decorated 21 doors and one bulletin board covered with messages about kindness and random acts of kindness.

Random-Acts-of-KindnessBOTEach day, selected students read the Random Act of Kindness Quote of the Day over the intercom. These daily quotes were submitted by the staff of the Duneland School Corporation who were invited to send in their favorite quote about kindness.

CMS staff awarded certificates to students who were noticed doing a Random Act of Kindness.
