IU Northwest Seeking Nominations for Outstanding Volunteers by October 10

The Indiana University Alumni Association (IUAA) and the Office of Alumni Relations at IU Northwest is seeking nominations for outstanding volunteers that have made significant contributions to IU Northwest.

The Outstanding Service Award is given to an individual who, through fundraising, recruiting, advocacy, or faithful service, has brought honor and distinction to IU Northwest. The award recognizes exceptional service or leadership to IU Northwest. It is designed to publicly acknowledge an individual or organization who has given significant amounts of time, talent and/or treasure to the University over an extended period of time.

In addition to the Service Award, a current student will also be recognized for his or her exceptional service, leadership and school spirit, which has brought honor and distinction to IU Northwest. This Spirit Award will publicly acknowledge a student who has given significant amounts of time and talent to the University.

Nominations for the Service Award must be received by Friday, Oct. 10. Recipients do not have to be alumni of IU Northwest. To nominate someone for this honor, visit the IU Northwest Alumni Relations web page at http://www.iun.edu/alumni/homecoming/index.htm and submit your nomination online.

One community honoree plus one student honoree will be selected from nominations and recognized at the Inaugural Alumni Breakfast and Service Award Ceremony to be held at 8 a.m., Friday, Oct. 31 in the Library Conference Center, Room 105. The Inaugural Alumni Breakfast and Service Award Ceremony serves as a kick-off to the 2014 Homecoming activities on Saturday, Nov. 1.
