St. Paul Catholic School Kindergarteners Collect for Carmelite Home

SPCS-Kindergarteners-Collect-for-Carmelite-HomeThe season of giving is alive and well for Mrs.Donna Shane's Kindergarten Class at Saint Paul Catholic School. The class decided to adopt 2 children from the Carmelite Home for Children in a East Chicago. The students spent the Christmas season doing extra chores to raise money for these 5 & 6 year old children. They counted their money daily then made a list of items to purchase for their new friends. With all the money collected, the class was not only able to give the 2 children a wonderful Christmas but also was able to purchase 9 new video games for all the children at the home. "It feels really good to help other kids" said Moira Kuka. "We were like Santa's helpers" said Chase Auten. All in all it was a wonderful way to get into the Christmas spirit!
