Urschel was on hand Monday as the beautiful piano was moved from his home in Valpo to Chesterton High School. A local piano tuner/technician, Ken Orgel, not pictured, was instrumental in making the connection between the two parties. It is Urschel’s wish that the piano serve as an inspiration for students and staff for many decades. “This was a particularly timely donation, as the current Baldwin grand piano, which has served Chesterton HS for years, has gradually succumbed to old age,” said Schnabel. A special concert will be presented next fall to debut this amazing piano to the public.
