There will be several events happening around Valparaiso University's campus this summer. See below for details.
Chinese Immersion Program
- July 6-17, Monday - Friday
- Third grade and above
- Learn Chinese pinyin system, build core Chinese vocabulary, learn to read and write Chinese characters
- Cultural activity each day 1-2 p.m
Hungarian Students Visit
- July 13 - Aug. 4
- 8 college-age Hungarian students will visit campus and take a course with American students to learn more about the culture and people of the U.S.
- Students are from Public Service University in Budapest and preparing to be public servants domestically or internationally
- Classes are Monday, Wednesday, Friday; Cultural activities Tuesday, Thursday, weekends
Summer Global Leadership Institute
- July 16 - Aug. 2
- High school students
- Topics: entrepreneurship, engineering, law and media
- Purpose: help aspiring young leaders develop skills necessary to address challenges posed by increasingly diverse world
- Class at 10 a.m., workshop at 2 p.m., daily evening activities
- Previous programs hosted students from U.S., China, India, Pakistan, Nigeria
