Hebron High School’s Empty Bowls Project

On February 11, the Hebron High School Art Club will be hosting an Empty Bowls Project. This project is an international effort of The Imagine/Render Group to fight hunger. Hebron students and staff members will be making ceramic bowls during the next few weeks, and the FACS classes will make chili to be served in these bowls. Dinner will be served from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Drinks and bread are included. The cost will be $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. Tickets will be on sale at the door, may be purchased in advance during Hebron High School basketball games on February 2nd and 7th, or through Mrs. Reis in the high school office. Questions may be directed to Mrs. Reis at 996-4771, ext. 118.

After eating this simple meal, guests will keep the bowl as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world. This activity connects students from Hebron with students across the country and the world who are participating in the Empty Bowls Project to increase the awareness of world hunger. All proceeds from this event will be contributed to the Hebron Community Food Pantry and the Red Cross Fund for Haitian Relief.
