Organization Helps Local Children

Mothers-for-Porter-County-KidsWith the holiday season in full swing, many people are looking for a way to help those in need. By making a small donation to Mothers for Porter County Kids Boot and Shoe Drive, you can make a big difference to underprivileged children in your community.

Mothers for Porter County Kids’ mission is simple - to provide shoes to needy school children. We serve only children in Porter County, so all of your donation stays here to support children in your community.

The monetary amount needed to make a difference to a child is small. For only $25, one needy school-aged child will receive a new pair of shoes or boots. “The community has found some creative ways to increase donations this year,” said Nicole Rossmann, co-founder, Mothers for Porter County Kids. “There have been individuals who ask family and friends to make a donation to help the children, instead of receiving Christmas gifts for themselves. We’ve also had a local business, Umbrella Ink, hold their own fundraiser in honor of the shoe and boot drive. They offered custom drawn Holiday tattoos, held a silent auction, and had pictures with Santa.
