Lemonade Contest to Benefit Prevention of Child Abuse

Prevent-child-abusePrevent Child Abuse Porter County, PCAPC, will be hosting a Best Tasting Lemonade and Lemonade Stand Contest on Saturday, July 28, 2012 from 9:00am-12:00pm at Hawthorne Park in Porter, Indiana.

PCAPC is a volunteer council dedicated to educating individuals throughout Porter County as to the nature and causes of child abuse and to provide information concerning prevention strategies. We advocate for public policies and programs which will enhance the quality of life for the children and families in Porter County as well as assist in the coordination of child abuse/neglect prevention efforts in Porter County with local law enforcement and State government.

Contest Rules:

  1. Child/Children must have a hand in both the building of the lemonade stand and in the making of the lemonade.
  2. Child/Children and at least one adult must be present
  3. Contestants responsible for all materials (taster cups will be available)
  4. Lemonade will be free to all- tip jar allowed at your stand

Judging:

  1. Two People's Choice Awards- 1 for the Best Lemonade Stand and 1 for the Best Tasting Lemonade
  2. Two Celebrity Judge's Awards- 1 for Best Lemonade Stand and 1 for Best Tasting Lemonade

People's Choice Judging will take place 9:30 am to 11:15 am. Celebrity Judging will occur from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. The award ceremony will be held at 11:45 am.
