Family Life Workshop at Family & Youth Services Bureau

family-youth-services-bureau-logoThe Family & Youth Services Bureau presents a Family Life Workshop titled “Behavior as Communication,” held on Thursday, September 27, 6 to 7 pm, at the Family & Youth Services Bureau’s downtown Valparaiso office at 253 W. Lincolnway.

Offered to parents, teachers and social services professionals, the workshop will discuss how to recognize a child’s behavior as communication; offer techniques for addressing a child’s behavior; learn how to extinguish some behaviors and reinforce others; and how to develop a plan that meets a child’s individual needs.

The workshop is led by Chris Georgeff, MS, who has been a behavioral consultant for over 15 years. His primary focus has been working with children and families. His past work has included working with the veteran population and practicing as an industrial psychologist. Chris is currently teaching college courses at Purdue University-Calumet.
