Girl Scouts of Valparaiso to Host Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on February 7

Girl-Scouts-of-Valparaiso-Spaghetti-dinner-01-22-15Girl Scouts of Valparaiso and Washington Township are hosting a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015 from 4:00-7:00 PM at St. Paul School cafeteria.

Proceeds from this event help fund the “Food for Thought Award” presented annually to graduating Girl Scouts who are continuing their education at a college of their choice. Applicants must also have been a Girl Scout member for at least 7 years, earned the Girl Scout Gold Award, and write an essay about what Girl Scouting has meant to them. Upon enrollment in their first semester of college or technical school, the “Food for Thought Award” will pay up to $500.00 toward the cost of required books.

Tickets are $5.00 per person with preschoolers eating for free and can be bought from any Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette, Senior, or Ambassador Girl Scout. Ticket price at the door is $6.00. St. Paul School is located at 1855 Harrison Blvd. and guests should park in the back for the cafeteria entrance. Dinner includes all you can eat spaghetti, garlic toast, salad, homemade desserts, and drink.
