Duneland_Y_Hosts_British_Soccer_Camp-1Last day of British Summer Camp at the Y. All the kids had a wonderful time and learned an amazing array of skills and techniques. This year more than 80 kids from the Duneland area participated in the training that addressed the key areas of technical development that have the biggest impact on performance in the game. Younger players were introduced to game basics through fundamental activities, games, challenges and competitive skill building exercises. For participants ages 6-16, emphasis was placed on skill development and mastery of core techniques through individual, small group practices and coached games. The kids all said they can't wait until the British Soccer Coaches come back next year.

The British Soccer Coaches flew into the "States" on Sunday, and were ready for practice at 9am Monday morning. The did an amazing job. Coaches for British Soccer Training this year were Chloe Hurst of Wigan, England; Tom Stephens of Barnoldswick, England; Lovita Richardson of Middlesbrough, England and Ashley Pedroz from Liverpool, England.

Some of the soccer participants made tribute gifts for their coaches at the end of their week of training. Pictured left to right are Cristina Driscoll, Cole Estadt, Talan Slack, Alaina McGrogan, Eva Montes, Brandon William Jones and Genevieve Driscoll.
