The Valparaiso Family YMCA has a wonderful way to have fun, socialize and get some exercise – all at once! It is Valpo Skates. Skating provides great exercise and an opportunity to get your kids out where they can have a great time! Lace up your skates and join the fun!
At Ben Franklin Middle School Gym Annex on 605 Campbell Street in Valparaiso. The cost is $6 per skater. Friday is K- 6th graders ONLY from 6-9pm and Saturday is open for the entire family from 1-4pm. K-6th graders can be dropped off on Fridays; parental supervision is not required, because Y staff members are at the rink to supervise the skaters.
PARTY @ THE RINK! Birthday parties at the rink may be scheduled for Friday evenings 6 - 8 pm or Saturday afternoons 1 - 3 pm, by calling Ruth Cavanaugh at 462-4185 x234. Private parties are scheduled for Saturday evenings at 5 - 8 pm or 6 - 9 pm.
Parties at the Rink are a unique way to celebrate your child’s special day. Ruth Cavanaugh, says,” The fun of a Valpo Skates party is being recognized by all your friends, being with your friends and picking different skates like – everyone skating backwards.”
