REGIONAL Federal Credit Union Teams Up with Substation No. 9 to Help Franklin Elementary Students

Representatives from REGIONAL Federal Credit Union visited Substation No. 9 in Hammond to help first graders from Hammond’s Franklin Elementary create ornament boxes. First graders from all of Hammond’s elementary schools have been taking trips to the art gallery to create the boxes for Substation No. 9’s Polar Express event. The hundreds of ornaments are decorating a Christmas tree and a wall inside Substation No. 9. Once the ornaments are completed, Santa will fill the boxes with a small treat.

On December 12th, from 2-4 p.m., the students and their families are invited to attend the Polar Express Reception at Substation No. 9. They can retrieve their filled ornament box and enjoy a reading of The Polar Express with hot cocoa and cookies. There will also be door prizes. Children who can’t make it to the reception will have their boxes delivered to their school so they don’t miss out on their treats.
