Calling All Artists for Hooked on Art Festival Chalk Competition

Frontline Foundations, a non-profit substance abuse treatment provider, is calling all artists for both youth and adult chalk art competitions at their 7th Annual Hooked on Art Festival on Saturday, September 22nd.

Youth contestants (ages 12-17) compete for the chance to win a trophy and a $250 Blick art supplies gift certificate while adult contestants (ages 18+) compete for up to $1,000 in cash prizes to be judged based on audience engagement, creativity, quality, and originality.

Adult competitors are required to pay $25 to compete while youth competitors apply for free. All applications are due September 4th. Artists interested in competing may register at HookedonArtFestival.com or contact Frontline Foundations at (219) 728-1638.

The family-friendly Hooked on Art Festival will be held once again at Thomas Centennial Park from 9am to 4pm. In conjunction with the European Market, Hooked on Art features 3D chalk art demos, live street art, interactive kid’s activities, live music, unique food dishes, and a silent auction of Frontline client artwork.

The wide gathering of artists and families for the Hooked on Art Festival serves as a fundraiser for the Porter and La Porte communities. Proceeds go to providing substance abuse treatment to men and women who are unable to afford treatment.

Frontline Foundations serves to be a source of hope to men and women suffering from drug and alcohol abuse by providing an effective treatment and recovery support system. For more information about Frontline, please go to FrontlineFoundations.com.
