Gary Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson Recognized in the Indiana State House of Representatives

Mayor-Freeman-Wilson-House-of-Reps-1Today, State Representatives Vernon Smith and Charlie Brown presented a resolution in the House of Representatives congratulating Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson on becoming the first African American female mayor in the State of Indiana.

I am humbled to receive this honor, and this is a message to my daughter’s generation that the sky is the limit,” said Freeman-Wilson.
