For months Lafayette St between Lincolnway and Indiana Ave has been closed due to the construction expansion work on Central Park in downtown Valparaiso. The construction work on the park continues but the work on Lafayette St. has been completed and the new improved roadway is ready to open.
Lafayette St is scheduled to re-open on Wednesday. When the new roadway opens it will be a one way street. Starting Wednesday morning all traffic on Lafayette St from Linconlway to Indiana Ave will be southbound traffic only, the roadway will now be a one way street.
Valparaiso Police Officers will be monitoring the roadway when it re-opens to assist motorists.
