Valparaiso Community Schools Summer Food Program Feeds Kids For Free

valpo-community-schoolsEach summer, children wait for the last bell of the school year. Summer is an exciting time for children to enjoy friends, camp, vacation or time at the pool. For the nearly 1,700 Valparaiso children who rely on free or reduced price meals at school, summer can mean hunger. Just as learning doesn’t end when school lets out, neither does a child’s need for good nutrition. Hunger doesn’t take a summer vacation.

Valparaiso Community Schools provides free meals to children during the summer as part of the USDA Summer Food Service Program for Children. Lunch will be provided to all children 18 and younger for free with no questions, income requirements or registration. Stop by any of these locations for food and fun. V-Line buses stop at or within one block of all meal sites.
