Crown Point’s State of the City Event to Feature Economic Updates

City-of-Crown-PointMembers of the public and the business community are invited to join the City of Crown Point’s big update on all of the economic development and business plans that will be taking place throughout 2018. Attendees will learn all of the news firsthand from Mayor David Uran. Many other city department heads, board and commission members and school officials will also be in attendance.

In addition to the updates, Mayor David Uran will be presenting several awards to local businesses, youth volunteers, and others. Crown Point officials are currently taking applications for the Business Longevity Award, which recognizes businesses for their longevity within the city. Businesses with 25 years or more in the City of Crown Point should submit information about the business. Registration forms will be available at https://crownpointin.wufoo.com/forms/business-longevity-submission-form/ for companies to submit their information.

The Building Investment & Improvement Award will be voted on by attendees. The Youth Community Achievement Award will be issued to local students who have gone above and beyond in the way of community service.

Last year, more than 300 people attended the event, many of them local business leaders. This year is forecasted to include even more people and companies.

State of the City will be taking place on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the St. Peter and Paul Macedonian Banquet Hall located at 9660 Broadway, Crown Point, IN 46307.

Registration and networking will take place at 5:30pm followed by dinner and the State of the City presentation at 6:15pm.
