First Responders Ride the South Shore Free, September 9-15, 2018

SouthShoreNICTD To show appreciation and to say thank you for their service to the community, the South Shore Line is inviting all active-duty first responders to ride the train free of charge Sunday, Sept. 9, through Saturday, Sept. 15, on all off-peak weekday and weekend trains.

Eligible first responders include all active-duty police officers, firefighters, paramedics, dispatchers and emergency medical technicians. All first responders must present ticket collectors with valid active-duty identification to take advantage of the free passage.

As a reminder, up to three children age 13 and younger always ride free on all daily off-peak, weekend and holiday trains.
