Community and Legislative Leaders to Discuss the Future of Northwest Indiana on Nov. 12 at IU Northwest

Discussion topics include Northwest Indiana’s economic, environmental and cultural futureiunlogo

The Indiana University Northwest School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) invites the campus and the greater Northwest Indiana community to attend an upcoming discussion, entitled “The Future of Northwest Indiana.” The public event, featuring community and legislative leaders, will take place Friday, Nov. 12 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in Hawthorn Hall (Room 107).

Keynote speakers addressing their vision of Northwest Indiana’s economic, environmental and cultural future include:

 

  • U.S. Representative Pete Visclosky (D-1st)
  • State Senator Earline Rogers (D-3rd)
  • John Swanson, Director, Northwest Indiana Regional Planning Commission

 

The discussion will also involve conversation from attendees on ways to collaborate and move the Northwest Indiana region forward.

The sponsors of the event include IU Northwest SPEA, the Motivating Women Ministry, and Community Action Renewed Environment (CARE).
