May 30th is the registration deadline for the Valparaiso Area Girl Scout Day Camp. ”Scienterrific!” is the theme for this summer’s Girl Scout Day Camp at Butternut Springs June 8-12, 2015. Located just north of Valparaiso, Camp Butternut Springs offers wide open spaces for girls to explore the out-of-doors under the supervision of trained adults. Sponsored by the Valparaiso Area Girl Scouts, Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette, and Senior Girl Scouts from any city or town are welcome to register for this camp.
Cost for the 5-day camp is $55.00 and includes lunch and snack every day, a camp T-shirt, camp patch, supplies, and fun activities learning about science in the out-of-doors. Camp runs from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM each day with a Family Event on Thursday evening.
