valpo-cpp-plazaThe Valpo Parks Foundation is pleased to announce another strategic partner in the private-public expansion of Central Park Plaza. The AM Stabilizers Corporation, headquartered in Valparaiso and a global supplier of high quality liquid and powder heat stabilizers for both flexible and rigid PVC applications, has agreed to donate $50,000 to purchase the dasher boards for the new ice skating rink. They will pay $5,000 annually for a 10 year term in exchange for the AM Stabilizers logo brand on four of the dasher boards. In addition, they will continue to support the Parks Foundation’s mission by pledging $20,000 over the same ten year period for total gift of $70,000.

AM Stabilizers, which relocated from Hammond, Indiana, to Valparaiso in January 2014, believes in the importance of corporate citizenship and philanthropy. Recent notable projects include the company’s participation in this year’s Rebuilding Together Valparaiso and donation of labor and warehouse space for ValPLAYso: The Next Generation last October. According to Frank Kusbel, Director of Operations for AM Stabilizers, “AMS is always looking for opportunities to be a contributing member of the community.”

John Seibert, Executive Director for the Parks Foundation, stated, “We are grateful to Ben Labovitz, Research and Development Manager, and Frank Kusbel and the team at AM Stabilizers for their continued generosity and support of Valpo Parks and our community.”
