Valpo Parks along with Dunes Leathernecks Detachment Marine Corps League hosted the fifth annual “Touch a Truck” Toys for Tots drive on Saturday, December 12, resulting in its biggest haul ever. Kids of all ages enjoyed the opportunity to explore their favorite vehicles such as fire trucks, police cars, buses, utility trucks, race cars, tractors, pay loaders, and military vehicles on closed streets in and near Valpo’s Central Park Plaza. Santa enjoyed the festivities, as well. The three-hour event collected over 950 toys and over $575 for the local Toys for Tots campaign.
