“The concierge job is to be here for the residents, and to allow the clubhouse to be open for residents,” explained Amanda Carney, Community Manager for the Lakes of Valpo. “So, even if that’s just using the gourmet coffee machine or gaming systems, our pool and shuffleboard tables, you can do that because we’re still open. It creates ease of access for people who work long hours.”
Services at the clubhouse are ready to meet the needs of the residents, from providing tennis balls, rackets, and volleyballs for their new courts, to scheduling dry cleaning services. By working closely with services in the community, The Lakes is able to provide an exceptional experience for their residents.
“It’s another way we’re showing the residents that we are here for them, we appreciate them, and we want them to live here and stay here,” said Carney.
If life proves a bit too busy for residents, there’s even the option of having the concierge make dinner reservations or schedule other services. It really is a means of making resident life simpler. Further, those at the clubhouse are always able to provide a solid recommendation for anyone needing a little help finding the right place to go.
“If somebody is too busy to make their reservation, or to call around to a couple of places to see who has the best times surrounding a certain time, we do that as well. Our concierge has a little more free time to focus on the residents,” said Carney.
Aiming to make resident life as simple as possible, The Lakes of Valparaiso have certainly made an impact on current residents. With plenty of activities and services available, the apartment community provides not only a way for residents to interact and meet neighbors, but also for them to enjoy life in many different ways.
