Ending Childhood Cancer One Cup at a Time

Alexs-Lemonade-StandOn Friday, June 3, 2011, a lemonade stand will be set up at Meridian Title Corporation to raise money to help find a cure for children with cancer. Alex's Lemonade Stand is a registered non-profit charity established by cancer patient Alex Scott in 2000. She was four years old at the time and wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for childhood cancer. Alex passed away in 2004 but the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement, complete with thousands of volunteers nationwide carrying on her legacy of hope. To date, Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation has raised over $40 million toward fulfilling Alex's dream of finding a cure, funding over 150 research projects nationally.

Stop by Meridian Title on Friday, enjoy a cup of lemonade and donate to this special cause. If you are unable to attend in person, visit the Meridian page on www.alexslemonade.org where you can check out further information and see all the great events happening all over the country.

For those stopping by, grilled hot dogs, chips, and cookies will also be served! Any questions, contact Matt Workman at MWorkman@meridiantitle.com
