Support Habitat for Humanity This Weekend!

Habitat-for-HumanityThere are two opportunities for you to join the community in supporting Habitat for Humanity of Porter County this weekend -- and neither one involves using a hammer or other tools, just going out and having fun!

Tonight (Friday, June 3), the Valparaiso Theatrical Company Valparaiso Theatrical Company is pleased to present the classic Hitchcockian thriller, Dial 'M' for Murder by Frederick Knott. This classic murder mystery will be on stage at Ivy Tech, 3100 Ivy Tech Drive, Valparaiso, IN. Proceeds from this performance will benefit Habitat. This is their closing performance, and the production has received great reviews in the newspaper, on the radio, by bloggers online, and through word-of-mouth of attendees. Now that we have grilling weather, join Habitat supporters in Kirchoff Park in Valparaiso for our first ever "Brat Bash." Originally scheduled for May 15 and rained out, the Brat Bash has been rescheduled for Sunday, June 5, 2011, from 2-6 pm at the Kirchoff Park North Shelter. Parking will be available at Parkview Elementary School. $8 per person for bratwurst and beverages or $5 per person if you bring a side dish or dessert to share with the crowd. Games and family activities will be available, as well as information on Habitat for Humanity and our upcoming plans and events.
