Stop the Hush Second Annual Community Awareness Event

Stop-The-Hush-LogoStop the Hush -Awareness event to bring the community together to understand the drug problem that we face in Porter County.

Stop the Hush will join leading community organizations in drug treatment and prevention to open up a community dialogue about the Drug Problem in Porter County. Please join us on August 4th from 4-8 P.M. at the Butterfield Pavilion. Stop the Hush will carry its message to the people of Porter County in addition to groups providing alternative activities for our youth in our area.

Laurie Kjelstrom, President of the organization, says “We are trying to recognize the lack of community discussion that has gone on about the drug problem for quite some years. Our organization works hard to understand statistics, drug issues, and initiatives discussed in city and organized meetings and bring them to the mainstream community.

Everyone in the community is encouraged to participate in what has become a collective effort to tackle the drug problem in the community. Introduction by Tony McDonald and Keynote speaker Dr. Mann Spitler.
