Help Some Crafty Kids With Your Recyclables

Family-Youth-Services-RecycablesOur Early Intervention Programs (Healthy Families and Family Connections) are looking for some craft supplies to use as learning tools for toddlers.

These are common household items you may have stored in a cupboard, or they may be destined for the recycling bin….bring them in to us instead and we’ll turn them into educational tools for curious kids!

You can drop off these items at either our Valparaiso or Portage offices:

We are looking for a few good items:

  • Clean margarine tubs
  • Clean cottage cheese containers
  • Clean plastic ice cream tubs with lids
  • Small plastic bottles with wide mouths (milk quarts, coffee creamers, etc.)
  • Wooden spoons
  • Small cardboard boxes, less than 8 inches long (like jewelry boxes)
  • Pie tins
  • Non-spring clothes pins
  • Magazines with colorful photos
  • Straws
  • Lunch size brown paper bags
  • Fabric, felt and yarn
  • Craft sticks
