Every year, each Listen To Your Mother city chooses a local non-profit to give 10% of their ticket proceeds and to help raise awareness from the podium the night of the show. To date, over $25,000 has been raised local causes! For our 4th annual NWI show, our local cause will be Food Bank of Northwest Indiana.
The Food Bank of Northwest Indiana's mission is to provide nutritional support to those in need of hunger relief through its network of 100 community agencies across Lake and Porter Counties–with the ongoing focus of ending hunger and helping individuals in our community move towards self-sufficiency.
Food Bank of NWI is a USDA approved, primary distributor of food to local pantries, shelters, day care centers, and soup kitchens. The distribute over 5 million pounds of food to Lake and Porter Counties! 50% of their clients are children or seniors. The Food Bank of NWI is also working on addressing the underlying issues that may cause a need for their services and equipping local agencies to best assist, educate and empower these individuals.
In addition to giving Food Bank of NWI 10% of the ticket sales, we will be holding a non-perishable food drive on the evening of the show! Please bring your donation and look for the donation drop off in the lobby. Let's help fight hunger and give hope through our region!
