Porter-Starke Services has just been notified that the organization was awarded a three-year accreditation through the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
CARF is an independent nonprofit organization that creates and maintains consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services. The organization came to our facility and conducted the three-day survey in May. They interviewed our staff, clients, board members, and others affiliated with Porter-Starke. It was a very thorough process that we proudly came out of on top.
"The CARF accreditation illustrates Porter-Starke's commitment to the CARF standards of care as well as excellence in service to our community,"Elliott Miller, Marketing and Development Specialist at Porter-Starke Services said.
The following programs and services* received the three-year accreditation:
- Case Management/Services Coordination: Mental Health (Adults)
- Case Management/Services Coordination: Mental Health (Children and Adolescents)
- Community Housing: Mental Health (Adults)
- Day Treatment: Mental Health (Adults)
- Inpatient Treatment: Mental Health (Adults)
- Integrated Behavioral Health Primary Care: Mental Health (Adults)
- Outpatient Treatment: Alcohol and Other Drugs/Addictions (Adults)
- Outpatient Treatment: Alcohol and Other Drugs/Addictions (Children and Adolescents)
- Outpatient Treatment: Mental Health (Adults)
- Outpatient Treatment: Mental Health (Children and Adolescents)
- Community Employment Services: Employment Supporters
- Employment Services: Community Employment Services: Job Development
In addition, Porter-Starke received an "Exemplary Conformance to Standards" for our Inspiration Project.
Outpatient Treatment: Opioid Treatment Program (Adults) - this was separately considered in a different survey conducted by CARF
The three-year accreditation received by Porter-Starke represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization.
